Nearly free BIZSCHOOL for small business owners

by Lynn Glessner

Renton Technical College has partnered with the Small Business Development Center to provide a BIZSCHOOL. BIZSCHOOL is a nearly free day full of small business seminars. By nearly free, I mean the cost is $15 and lunch is provided.

Bizschool starts with registration for walk-ins and a general welcome at 8:30AM, followed by 60/90 minute time blocks staring at 9:00. Each time block has 3-5 classes to choose from, including during the lunch time block. Some, but not all, classes are repeated. The class format includes panel presentations, roundtable discussions, and lectures - all with handouts. You only need to attend those classes which interest you.

A detailed BIZSCHOOL class schedule can be obtained by contacting Jennifer Hanline at JHanline@RTC.edu or 425-232353 ext 5727.

Currently scheduled classes include:

  • How Businesses Get the Funds They Need To Grow
  • Maximize All Your Legal Business Tax Deductions
  • Make Your Money Work for You - Start Investing in Yourself NOW!
  • SuperCharge Your Web Presence
  • What the Internet Can Do For Your Company
  • What’s Self-Employment All About?

The all-day Saturday BIZSCHOOL will take place 8:30-3:30 on Saturday May 10th, for a fee of $15. Register through the RTC website for COMM 447 0905.
