School District Closures and Delays

by

snow.jpgGood morning, snowy residents. This morning the Renton School District is closed, and the Kent School District is on time but on snow routes. If you are in the weird spot of unincorporated King County with a Renton address, east of Renton, with a Kent School District (aka Fairwood) that means you have more snow than most of Renton, which is closed, but you still take the kids to school.

Literally, you take the kids to school, because their bus is on snow route. So get going.

If you are still  spending valuable time reading, you can sign up for school specific alerts from SchoolReport.org.  They will send you email and/or cell phone alerts for anything related to your school district, which is great for things like emergency dismissals or power outages. Only they are so overwhelmed right now they aren’t taking new sign ups. So you need to continue to read the web the old fashioned way. You can go to King5 and check their school closures page.

Get your kids to school, and stay safe on the roads.

About Renton, WA

About-RentonWA tracks local events and announcements that are important to residents of Renton and southeast King County. This blog will be updated at least daily during the week, so stop by often. I have two young children, and will focus on free or inexpensive family activities, or sometimes just the random things I find interesting. I would love to hear from you, if you have any tips or suggestions for me.
